Background: Neprilysin/CD10
Neprilysin (NEP) is also known as CALLA and CD10. It is a zinc metalloprotease expressed at the cell surface that cleaves a variety of bioactive peptides such as enkephalins, atrial natriuretic peptide and amyloid beta peptide.
