Neogenin: Proteins and Enzymes
Neogenin is a widely expressed transmembrane molecule that binds to Netrin, RGM, BMP, UNC5 proteins. It regulates development of the central nervous system, mammary glands, myogenesis, and angiogenesis. In the CNS, Neogenin regulates neural tube closure, neuronal differentiation, and axon guidance. Neogenin binding to RGM and Netrin proteins is also involved in cell-cell adhesion, cell migration, tissue organization, neurogenesis, and tumorgenesis.
