  • Activation of NMDA receptors in outside-out patches
    Name: Anonymous | 19th Oct 2019
    Species: Rat
    Assay Type: In Vitro
    Cell Line/Tissue: Hippocampus
Mixture of 100 microM of glycine + 100 microM NMDA was used to evoke an NMDA receptor response without contamination from other glutamate receptors in outside-out patched excised from hippocampal neurons. NMDA displayed a clear agonist effect, as expected. Easily soluble, no problem if stored in frozen aliquots for more than half a year.
Should be used instead of glutamate for selective activation of NMDA receptors

  • Induction of chemLTD
    Name: Anonymous | 2nd Nov 2017
    Species: Mouse
    Assay Type: Ex Vivo
Application of NMDA was used to induce synaptic depression in acute brain slice.
Used at 20uM for 3 minutes to induce chemLTD.
