Recombinant Mouse Resistin (Catalog # 1069-RN) was serially diluted and captured by Rat Anti-Mouse Resistin Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB1069) coated on a Clear Polystyrene Microplate (Catalog # DY990). Goat Anti-Mouse Resistin Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1069) was biotinylated and incubated with the protein captured on the plate. Detection of the standard curve was achieved by incubating Streptavidin-HRP (Catalog # DY998)

Resistin (for resistance to insulin), also known as FIZZ3 (found in inflammatory zone 3), is a secreted, cysteine-rich, adipocyte-derived protein. It contributes to insulin resistance associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus and may be the hormone that links obesity to diabetes.
