Scientific Data Images for Human/Mouse/Rat PP2A Catalytic Subunit Antibody
Detection of Human/Mouse/Rat PP2A Catalytic Subunit, by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of U937 human histiocytic lymphoma cell line, C2C12 mouse myoblast cell line, and Nb2-11 rat lymphoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.1 µg/mL of Human/Mouse/Rat PP2A Catalytic Subunit, Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1653) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rabbit IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF008). A specific band was detected for PP2A Catalytic Subunit, at approximately 36 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.Applications for Human/Mouse/Rat PP2A Catalytic Subunit Antibody

Background: PP2A
Protein Phosphatase 2A (PP2A) is an enzyme that removes phosphates covalently attached to serine and threonine residues in proteins. It contains three subunits; a catalytic subunit C (PP2Ac), an assembly/structural subunit A (PP2Aa), and a regulatory subunit B (PP2Ab). PP2A is a ubiquitous enzyme that plays a role in regulating many cellular activities varying from ion transport in erythrocytes to suppressing tumor growth. Binding of the SV40 small T antigen to the PP2A phosphatase complex is known to cause oncogenic transformation.
