MKS1: Proteins and Enzymes

MKPX, also known as JSP-1 for Jnk Stimulatory Phosphatase-1, belongs to the LMW-DSP subfamily of phosphatases. MKPX has been shown to have the capacity to activate the c-Jun N-terminal kinase (Jnk) signaling pathway. The activation of Jnk has been implicated in a number of important physiological processes, including embryonic morphogenesis, cell survival and apoptosis.
