LMOD1, also known as Leiomodin-1, has a 600 amino acid long isoform that is 67 kDa and a short 572 amino acid that is 64 kDa, belongs to the tropomodulin family, most commonly found in smooth muscle (heart, skeletal muscle, colon and small intestine), and has a putative membrane-spanning region and 2 types of tandemly repeated blocks.
