CSL: Proteins and Enzymes
CSL is the main transcriptional effector of Notch-1 signaling. In the absence of Notch activation, it is constitutively bound to DNA as part of a repressor complex with CIR and SMRT. Upon interaction with Notch intracellular domain, CSL forms a new transcriptional activating complex that includes Notch, MAML-1, and p300.
