What is the Pala Single Cell Sorter and Dispenser?
Pala is a gentle, microfluidic-based single cell dispenser that combines two-laser fluorescence sorting in a fast and easy to use interface. Isolating single cells with fluorescence markers has never been easier with a start-up time of less than 5 minutes and delivery of a 96-well plate of single cells in as little as 2 minutes. The two-laser configuration enables a broad range of fluorescence channels providing flexibility in experimental designs. Pala is extremely gentle on sensitive cell types, such as stem cells, exposing the cells to less than 2 PSI of pressure.

How Does Pala Work?
Leverage the powerful combination of microfluidics, flow cytometry, and liquid dispensing in Pala:
- Liquid Dispensing: Isolate single cells into 96- or 384-well plates according to your fluorescence selection criteria.
- Microfluidic Cartridge: Enable sterile sorting and easy sample switching with no chance for carryover.
- Flow Cytometry: Detect fluorescent labels or expressed proteins and gate cells of interest for sorting.
