Key Product Details

Description

Neutral phospholipid; component of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs)

Alternative Names

1,2-DSPC

Product Description

DSPC is a phosphatidylcholine, a type of neutral phospholipid with two saturated long-chains (18:0). Commonly used in the generation of micelles, liposomes, lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) and other types of artificial membranes. DSPC is used in formulation of LNPs for nonviral drug delivery systems.

For more information on how to prepare MC3 lipid nanoparticles for RNA delivery, please see our protocol.

For a fully formulate LNP containing DLin-MC3-DMA and a luciferase mRNA reporter, see MC3 LNP Luciferase (Cat. No. 8889).

Preparing Stock Solutions for DSPC

The following data is based on the product molecular weight 790.15

Batch specific molecular weights may vary from batch to batch due to the degree of hydration, which all affect the solvent volumes required to prepare stock solutions.

Select a batch to recalculate based on the batch molecular weight:

Concentration / Solvent Volume / Mass 1 mg 5 mg 10 mg
1 mM 1.27 mL 6.33 mL 12.66 mL
5 mM 0.25 mL 1.27 mL 2.53 mL
10 mM 0.13 mL 0.63 mL 1.27 mL
50 mM 0.03 mL 0.13 mL 0.25 mL
