Biological Activity for ML 213

ML 213 is a selective K_V7.2 (KCNQ2) and K_V7.4 (KCNQ4) channel opener (EC₅₀ values are 230 and 510 nM for K_V7.2 and K_V7.4 respectively). Displays > 80-fold selectivity against K_V7.1, K_V7.3 and K_V7.5 in a thallium-based fluorescence assay. Hyperpolarizes resting membrane potential in an in vitro spinal cord preparation.
