I would like to know if the next kit is a general specie kit or is it human specific. Our interest is in a chicken Epinephrine ELISA kit but also a general one.

In principle KA1882 can be used with samples from chicken, and that cross-reactivity should not be an issue. The lab did, however, raise a concern as to whether the levels of chicken epinephrine would fall within the detection limits of the kit, and they suggested that the customer may wish to consult the literature regarding this.

My sample is serum from human being. I want to know whether the kit(KA1882) can detect my sample?

Their ELISA kit is an enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative determination of Adrenaline (Epinephrine) in plasma and urine. Other sample types have not yet been tested or validated. One of our customer would be interested in your kits: Dopamine ELISA Kit (KA1887) and Epinephrine ELISA Kit (KA1882). The customer is going to test mouse serum and plasma samples. Please, let me know if these kits could be use with mouse samples.

Both of these kits can be used with mouse urine and plasma samples very successfully.

Background: Epinephrine

Adrenaline (epinephrine) is extracted by using a cis-diol-specific affinity gel, acylated and then converted enzymatically. The competitive ELISA kit uses the microtiter plate format. The antigen is bound to the solid phase of the microtiter plate. The derivatized standards, controls and samples and the solid phase bound analytes compete for a fixed number of antibody binding sites. After the system is in equilibrium, free antigen and free antigen-antibody complexes are removed by washing. The antibody bound to the solid phase is detected by an anti-rabbit IgG-peroxidase conjugate using TMB as a substrate. The reaction is monitored at 450 nm. Quantification of unknown samples is achieved by comparing their absorbance with a reference curve prepared with known standard concentrations
