TAF1L (TAF1 RNA polymerase II, TATA box binding protein (TBP)-associated factor, 210kDa-like) is homologous to TAF1 (TAFII250), and is expressed specifically in the testis, apparently in germ cells. It may act as a functional substitute for TAF1 during male meiosis.
