Background: Myosin VIIb

Myosin VIIb, or MYO7B, consists of a long 2,116 amino acid isoform that is 242 kDa, and is involved in transportation, though more research must be conducted to determine more about the protein. Current research is being conducted on the relationship between Myosin VIIb and several diseases and disorders, including Hepatitis B, kidney disease, and Usher syndrome. Myosin VIIb is not linked to any pathways, but has been found to interact with UBE2A and USH1C.
