Chemotaxis Induced by CXCL1/KC and Neutralization by Mouse CXCL1/KC Antibody.

Recombinant Mouse CXCL1/KC (Catalog # 453-KC) chemoattracts the BaF3 mouse pro-B cell line transfected with human CXCR2 in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). The amount of cells that migrated through to the lower chemotaxis chamber was measured by Resazurin (Catalog # AR002). Chemotaxis elicited by Recombinant Mouse CXCL1/KC (30 ng/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Mouse CXCL1/KC Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB4531). The ND₅₀ is typically 1-5 µg/mL.

CXCL1/GRO alpha/KC/CINC-1 is an ELR+ angiogenic chemokine that interacts with CXCR2/IL-8 RB to attract and activate neutrophils. It is produced at sites of microbial infection by macrophages, monocytes, Kupffer cells, hepatocytes, endothelial and epithelial cells, cardiac and vascular smooth muscle cells, fibroblasts, melanocytes, mast cells, and neurons. CXCL1 function is associated with the development and extent of atherosclerosis, Alzheimerâ€™s disease, and tumor angiogenesis.
