GALK2: Proteins and Enzymes

GALK2 encodes a highly efficient N-acetylgalactosamine (GalNAc) kinase, which has galactokinase activity when galactose is present at high concentrations. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
