Bleomycin hydrolase (BLMH) is a cysteine peptidase of the papain superfamily. It is named for its ability to hydrolyze the anti-tumor agent bleomycin and inactivate it. It has a papain-like catalytic triad (Cys-His-Asp) with optimum activity at neutral pH.
