Product Overview
The RNAscope Multiomic LS Assay enables highly sensitive and specific detection of both RNA and proteins in the same tissue section for a true multiomic spatial assay. Proven class-leading single-molecule RNAscope technology is leveraged to enable simultaneous detection of up to 6 total proteins and RNA targets with single cell resolution.
This assay is based on the same technology as the RNAscope Multiplex v2 assay and is compatible with your existing probes and workflows. With both protease and a new completely protease-free workflow, the kit provides significantly upgraded capabilities and benefits.
The RNAscope Multiomic LS Assay is designed as an automated assay for the BOND RX™ and RXm by Leica Biosystems.

Choose Your Protease-Free Multiomic Workflow
Choose Your Protease-Free Multiomic Workflow
- Protease-free preserves antigen integrity for wide antibody compatibility and maintenance of tissue morphology.
Use a sequential co-detection workflow by performing RNAscope detection and following with your usual IHC.
Or
- Use the full RNAscope Multiomic workflow for more protein plex and minimal optimization by selecting from a pre-qualified RNAscope antibodies.
Note: Kit also includes protease to support your ongoing projects.
Fast and Flexible Assay Design
Fast and Flexible Assay Design
- Up to 6 total plex.
- RNAscope probes let you detect any RNA transcripts. Any gene. Any species.
- Accelerate multiomic assay design at higher plex by selecting from RNAscope antibodies. Pre-qualified RNAscope primary and secondary antibodies minimize optimization time.
Gold-Standard RNAscope Detection
Gold-Standard RNAscope Detection
- Proven performance for FFPE samples and high to low expressing target genes.
- Backed by over 14K publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Over 80K probes visualized.
- Compatible with downstream H&E staining.
Tumor-Associated Macrophages Visualized Using the Multiomic LS Assay
- Assess cytokine profiles and identify their cellular source.
- Visualize gene signatures with cell-specific markers to assess activation states of immune cells.
Image: Human breast cancer tissue stained for 2 protein targets (CD68 and CD163) and 4 RNA targets (IL10, IL-1B, TNFα, and CXCL10).
Protease-Free Workflow Flexibility
RNA Only
- Unparalleled sensitivity and specificity.
- Detect up to 6 RNA targets at the same time.
- Kit includes both protease-free and protease for maximum compatibility.
Sequential Co-Detection
- If you already have an in-place IHC solution, perform RNA and protein detection sequentially.
- Perform RNAscope detection with protease-free reagents to preserve antigen integrity, then follow with standard IHC or IF detection using your own antibodies.
Full Multiomic Workflow
- For increased protein plex, select from RNAscope primary and antibodies for a total of 6 RNA and protein targets.
- Pre-qualified RNAscope antibodies reduce optimization time and effort.
