Learn more about Maurice. Mixing protein therapeutics for combination therapies is a relatively new approach. Therapeutic co-mixtures present a challenge for analysis when the two proteins are present at significantly different abundance. ProteinSimple’s next generation whole-column detection cIEF instrument, Maurice, is equipped with a native fluorescence detector. This fluorescence detection capability significantly extends the dynamic range for sample detection. In addition, Maurice can capture different exposure times of the fluorescence emission as well as the absorbance signal in a single run. For therapeutic protein mixtures, longer exposures can be used for the detection of low concentration proteins while shorter exposure time can be used for products present at higher concentrations. In this presentation, a synthetic protein mixture with different concentration ratios is analyzed using Maurice’s fluorescence detection.
