Description
Inhibits proliferation and induces apoptosis selectively in pancreatic CSCs and cancer cell lines
Product Description
α-Mangostin is a xanthone derivative. Inhibits proliferation and induces apoptosis selectively in pancreatic CSCs and cancer cell lines. Also suppresses the invasive and metastatic ability of pancreatic CSCs by modulation of cadherin expression and suppressing the transcription factors Snail and Slug. Attenuates the expression of Nanog and pluripotency promoting transcription factors, and inhibits Nanog binding. Downregulates the PI 3-K/Akt pathway. Inhibits self-renewal of CSCs isolated from human primary tumors and KrasG12D mice. Inhibits MRSA and VRE. Antibacterial, antifungal, antimalarial, anticarcinogenic, antiatherogenic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and neuroprotective.Product Specifications
