Product Summary for Human IGF-I/IGF-1 Quantikine ELISA Kit

The Quantikine Human IGF-I Immunoassay is a 3.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed to measure human IGF-I in cell culture supernates, serum, and plasma. It contains E. coli-expressed recombinant human IGF-I and has been shown to accurately quantitate the recombinant factor. Results obtained using natural human IGF-I showed linear curves that were parallel to the standard curves obtained using the Quantikine kit standards. These results indicate that this kit can be used to determine relative mass values for naturally expressed IGF-I.

IGF-1 (IGF-I, insulin-like growth factor-1 or somatomedin C) is a secreted factor that circulates in complex with IGFBP-3 or IGFBP-5 with ALS. It signals through dimeric IGF1R, dimeric Insulin R, or a heterodimer of the two receptors.
