Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: DHX37 Antibody [NBP3-18056] - Rat FR cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes and permeabilized in 0.5% Triton X-100 in PBS for 5 minutes. The cells were incubated with DHX37 Antibody (NBP3-18056) at 1ug/ml overnight at 4C and detected with an anti-rabbit DyLight 488 (Green) at a 1:1000 dilution for 60 minutes. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Cells were imaged using a 40X objective.

Background: DHX37

DHX37 is a DEAD box protein. DEAD box proteins, characterized by the conserved motif Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp (DEAD), are putative RNA helicases. They are implicated in a number of cellular processes involving alteration of RNA secondary structure such as translation initiation, nuclear and mitochondrial splicing, and ribosome and spliceosome assembly. Based on their distribution patterns, some members of this family are believed to be involved in embryogenesis, spermatogenesis, and cellular growth and division.This gene encodes a DEAD box protein.
