Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-KIAA0528 antibody NB100-74595 used for IP at 3 mcg/mg lysate. KIAA0528 was also immunoprecipitated by another rabbit anti-KIAA0528 antibody and NB100-74596, which recognize downstream epitopes. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: C2CD5

KIAA0528 is a protein that was first identified in the in silico analysis of long cDNAs isolated in the Kazusa cDNA sequencing project. The function of KO528 has not been characterized. By similarity KO528 contains a C2 domain, a domain that is found in proteins that bind phospholipids. The C2 domain is also present in a family of proteins involved in synaptic vesicle trafficking; thus, the function of KO528 is predicted to be involved in intracellular transport.
