ADAR Antibody (HL3666)

Western Blot: ADAR Antibody (HL3666) [NBP3-48831] -

Untreated (-) and treated (+) HeLa whole cell extracts (30 ug) were separated by 5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with ADAR antibody [HL3666] (NBP3-48831) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody was used to detect the primary antibody.

Background: ADAR

ADAR encodes the enzyme responsible for RNA editing by site-specific deamination of adenosines. This enzyme destabilizes double stranded RNA through conversion of adenosine to inosine. Mutations in this gene have been associated with dyschromatosis symmetrica hereditaria. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized. [provided by RefSeq]
