Low-density lipoprotein receptor class A domain-containing 3 (LDLRAD3) is a protein that plays an important role in cholesterol metabolism. The receptor protein binds LDL and transports it into cells through endocytosis. Additionally, there is evidence that Hepatitis C and other viruses enter cells through the mediation of LDL receptors.
