Product Summary for Mouse LOX-1/OLR1 Quantikine ELISA Kit
The Quantikine Mouse LOX-1 Immunoassay is a 4.5 hour solid phase ELISA designed to measure mouse LOX-1 in cell culture supernates, serum, and plasma. It contains NS0-expressed recombinant mouse LOX-1 and has been shown to accurately quantitate the recombinant factor. Results obtained using natural mouse LOX-1 showed linear curves that were parallel to the standard curves obtained using the Quantikine kit standards. These results indicate that this kit can be used to determine relative mass values for naturally occurring mouse LOX-1.

Linearity
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples spiked with high concentrations of mouse LOX-1 were serially diluted with the appropriate Calibrator Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Background: LOX-1/OLR1
Lectin-like Oxidized Low-density Lipoprotein Receptor 1 (LOX-1), also known as Oxidized Low-density Lipoprotein Receptor 1 (OLR1), is a type II transmembrane receptor belonging to the class E scavenger receptor (SR-E) subfamily of the C-type lectin family. It binds and supports the internalization of multiple structurally unrelated macromolecules. It exists on the cell surface as covalent homodimers, which can further associate into non-covalently-linked oligomers. Cell surface LOX-1 can also be cleaved to release the soluble LOX-1 extracellular domain.
