Specificity

Detects human ADAM15 Ectodomain in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In direct ELISAs, approximately 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse (rm) ADAM15 is observed, and less than 1% cross-reactivity with rmADAM9, rmADAM10, recombinant human (rh) ADAM8, rhADAM9, rhADAM10, rhADAM12, rhADAM17 (TACE), rhADAM19, rhADAM22, rhADAM23, rhADAM32, and rhADAM33 is observed.

Product Feature: CoraFluor Probes for TR-FRET

CoraFluor™ 1, amine reactive (Catalog:7920) and CoraFluor™ 2, amine reactive (Catalog # 7950) are terbium-based probes that have been developed for use as TR-FRET donors. They emit wavelengths compatible with commonly used fluorescent acceptor dyes such as BODIPY® (or BDY) and Janelia Fluor® dyes, FITC (Catalog # 5440), TMR and Cyanine 5 (Catalog # 5436). CoraFluor™ fluorescence is brighter and more stable in biological media than existing TR-FRET donors, leading to enhanced sensitivity and improved data generation. CoraFluor™ 1 exhibits excitation upon exposure to a 337 nm UV laser.

Background: ADAM15

ADAM15 is encoded by this gene is a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloproteinase) protein family. ADAM family members are type I transmembrane glycoproteins known to be involved in cell adhesion and proteolytic ectodomain processing of cytokines and adhesion molecules. This protein contains multiple functional domains including a zinc-binding metalloprotease domain, a disintegrin-like domain, as well as a EGF-like domain. Through its disintegrin-like domain, this protein specifically interacts with the integrin beta chain, beta 3. It also interacts with Src family protein-tyrosine kinases in a phosphorylation-dependent manner, suggesting that this protein may function in cell-cell adhesion as well as in cellular signaling. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been observed.
