KCNN4: Small Molecules and Peptides

KCNN4 (Kca3.1) is part of a potentially heterotetrameric voltage independent potassium channel that is activated by intracellular calcium. Activation is followed by membrane hyperpolarization, which promotes calcium influx. KCNN4 may be part of the predominant calcium activated potassium channel in T lymphocytes.

Positive modulator of KCa2 (SK) and KCa3.1 (IK) channels

Cytochrome P450 inhibitor; antifungal

Selective negative modulator of KCa2 (SK) channels; inhibits SK currents

Potent and highly selective KCa3.1 (IK) channel blocker

Potent negative modulator of KCa2.3 and KCa3.1 channels

KCa3.1 (IK) and KCa2 (SK) channel activator

Activates Cl- conductance and hKCa3.1 channels
