CXCR6: Small Molecules and Peptides
CXCR6 is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) member of the CXC subfamily of chemokine receptors. Human CXCR6 is 342 amino acids (aa) in length with a predicted molecular weight of 39 kDa. Mouse and rat CXCR5 share 75% aa sequence identity with the human protein. CXCR6 is the receptor for CXCL16 and can also act as a co-receptor for M-tropic and T Cell Line-tropic HIV strains.
