Vasohibin: Lysates
Vasohibin is an endothelium-derived negative feedback regulator of angiogenesis. Vasohibin has no canonical signal sequence, and the full-length form is only associated with cells. When N-terminally cleaved, however, active 42 kDa and 36 kDa forms are generated that are both cell-associated and secreted. Vasohibin expression is upregulated by VEGF and FGF basic/FGF-2, but the upregulation can be modulated by IL-1, TNF-alpha or IFN-gamma.
