SMAGP: Lysates

SMAGP is a type III (extracellular N-terminus without a signal sequence) transmembrane glycoprotein. It is found on the lateral surfaces of epithelia and contributes to cell-cell adhesion. In transformed, metastasizing cell lines, SMAGP is internalized, promoting cell detachment from surrounding structures and subsequent migration.
