Axin-2: Small Molecules and Peptides
Axin-2, also known as Conductin, is a 95 kDa cytoplasmic protein that inhibits Wnt signaling and promotes epithelial-mesenchymal transition. Axin-2 binds to beta-catenin, glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3 beta), and the tumor suppressor APC. Loss of Axin-2 function is linked to carcinogenesis as well as abnormal bone and tooth development.
