Goat Anti-Human CMG-2/ANTXR2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF2940) was biotinylated and incubated with the protein captured on the plate. Detection of the standard curve was achieved by incubating Streptavidin-HRP (Catalog # DY998)

Background: CMG-2/ANTXR2

Capillary Morphogenesis Protein 2 (CMG-2) is an anthrax toxin receptor (ATR) family protein that contains a von Willebrand factor type A domain. As a result of alternative splicing, at least four isoforms of secreted or type I membrane proteins exist. CMG-2 is widely expressed in human tissues. It binds selectively to collagen type IV and laminin and is also capable of binding the protective antigen (PA) of Bacillus Anthracis in a divalent cation-dependent manner. Soluble CMG-2 is a potent antitoxin and may be used as a treatment of anthrax. Within the region used as immunogen, human and mouse CMG-2 share 76% amino acid sequence homology.
