General Assay Diluent Products

General Assay Diluent (AD1) is formulated for use with serum and plasma samples, and has been developed for use in all sandwich ELISA formats. AD1 contains a mammalian protein additive (based on normal goat serum) to reduce non-specific interactions between the sample matrix and the plate surface. Assay diluent is important for equalizing any differences between the sample matrix and the diluent used to generate the standard curve in the ELISA. AD1 also contains proprietary additives designed to inhibit complement and thrombin activity present in serum and plasma samples.
