Precision
Intra-Assay Precision (Precision within an assay) Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Inter-Assay Precision (Precision between assays) Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty separate assays to assess inter-assay precision. Assays were performed by at least three technicians using two lots of components.

Recovery for Human BCMA/TNFRSF17 Quantikine ELISA Kit
The recovery of human BCMA spiked to levels throughout the range of the assay in various matrices was evaluated.
| Sample Type | Average % Recovery | Range % |
|---|---|---|
| Cell Culture Media (n=4) | 99 | 80-106 |
| Saliva (n=4) | 96 | 83-115 |
| Urine (n=4) | 102 | 94-112 |
Linearity
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples containing and/or spiked with high concentrations of human BCMA were diluted with calibrator diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Background: BCMA/TNFRSF17
B cell maturation protein (BCMA) is a member of the TNF receptor superfamily (TNFRSF17). BCMA is expressed in immune organs and mature Bcell lines. Although some expression has been observed at the cell surface, BCMA appears to be localized to the Golgi compartment. BCMA binding to APRIL or BAFF stimulates IgM production in peripheral blood B cells and increases the survival of cultured B cells. Mature human and mouse BCMA share 86% amino acid sequence identity.
