ID2 in A549 Human Cell Line.
ID2 was detected in immersion fixed A549 human lung carcinoma cell line using 10 µg/mL Human ID2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF4660) for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained with the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (red, upper panel; Catalog # NL001) and counterstained with DAPI (blue, lower panel). Western blot shows lysates of HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Human ID2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF4660) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF019). A specific band was detected for ID2 at approximately 15 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 8.Applications for Human ID2 Antibody

Background: ID2
ID2 (Inhibitor of DNA binding 2; also known as inhibitor of differentiation 2) is a 15 kDa member of the small ID HLH family of proteins. It is a nuclear protein that forms inactivating heterodimers with bHLH transcription factors. bHLH proteins activate lineage-specific genes and ID2. Human ID2 is 134 amino acids (aa) in length. It contains one HLH domain (aa 36-76) but no DNA-binding motif. Full-length human ID2 is 98% aa identical to both mouse and porcine ID2.
