Specificity

The antibody MEM-18 reacts with CD14, a 53-55 kDa GPI (glycosylphosphatidylinositol)-linked membrane glycoprotein expressed on monocytes, macrophages and weakly on granulocytes; also expressed by most tissue macrophages. In human, the epitope recognized by MEM-18 is located between amino acids 57-64.

Background: DDIT4L

DDIT4L, also known as DNA damage-inducible transcript 4-like protein, is a 21.7 kDa 193 amino acid protein that regulates the TOR signaling pathway between the TSC1-TSC2 complex and AKT1, thus inhibiting cell growth. Current research is being conducted with diseases and disorders such as teratoma, melanoma, and hypoxia. The protein is involved in the TOR signaling pathway, where it interacts with SNRPG and PRKAB2.
