Webinar: Modernize your Gene Therapy Analytics with Automated Tools from Bio‑Techne

Webinar Summary

Modern medicines call for modern technologies. Gene therapy is an exciting approach at work to cure diseases, where genetic material is delivered to a patient via a viral vector. This approach requires a doubly complex drug that contains both protein and oligonucleotides, and existing analytical tools just don’t meet the quantitative needs of these complicated therapeutic agents.

In this webinar, hear how a variety of innovative analytical tools from Bio-Techne can support your gene therapy workflow from discovery to quality control and how they can address certain critical quality attributes of your therapeutic.

Learn how:

  1. Automated Simple Western™ systems can streamline your Western blotting workflow, detect AAV capsid proteins, and determine empty vs. full capsid content.
  2. Automated Maurice systems can precisely characterize AAVs by size (MW) or charge (pI) using direct detection methods and how they can monitor CQAs such as empty vs. full.
  3. Micro-Flow Imaging (MFI) can assess aggregates and particle contaminants in formulations.
  4. Ella (Simple Plex™) can improve your ELISA-based protein detection methods.

Presenter:

Dr. Chris Heger, Director of Applications Science for the Analytical Solutions Division of Bio‑Techne, received his doctoral degree in Pharmacology from Cornell University and completed his post-doctoral training at the National Cancer Institute in Antibody Development, Purification and Technology Evaluation. Chris joined ProteinSimple in 2011, starting as a Field Applications Scientist, and subsequently further building the East Coast support team as Field Manager. During these years, Chris developed a broad but deep understanding of the instrumentation and their application across diverse research areas. In 2016, Chris moved to California to lead the Applications Science group, chartered with creating scientific collateral, fostering collaborations, training, and application development. Chris is an expert in immunoassays, capillary electrophoresis, protein and antibody purification, and chromatography.
