The PYX gene encodes a transient receptor potential channel pyrexia protein which exists in two isoforms. Isoform 1 is 956 amino acids long at 107 kDA while isoform 2 is 538 amino acids long at 62 kDA. Not a lot of information is known about the PYX gene and its encoded protein at this time.
