GRP75/HSPA9B: Small Molecules and Peptides
Glucose regulated 75 kDa protein, also known as mitochondrial HSP70 and mortalin-2, is a constitutively expressed heat shock cognate protein. GRP75, together with other inner membrane proteins of the mitochondria, mediates the unfolding of proteins that is required before their passage through mitochondrial outer membrane translocation pores. GRP75 also plays a role in the control of cell cycle progression.
