Product Description

TMU4142 is a potent and selective serotonin 1A receptor (5-HT_1AR) agonist (EC₅₀ = 1.59 nM), which exhibits high G_oA activity (post-synaptic heteroreceptors; E_max = 93%), while minimizing G_i3 activation (pre-synaptic autoreceptors; E_max = 19%). Displays 22-fold selectivity for 5-HT_1AR over β-adrenergic receptors and has no activity on other serotonin and dopamine receptors and the β-arrestin-2 pathway. TMU4142 shows rapid antidepressant-like effects in a mouse model of depression, without triggering DRN autoreceptor activation. Can be used for antidepressants research.
