NU 2058 is a cyclin-dependent kinase (cdk) 1 and cdk2 inhibitor (K_i values are 5 and 12 μM respectively). Inhibits growth of human tumor cells in vitro (mean GI₅₀ = 13 μM). Also inhibits DNA topoisomerase II ATPase activity (IC₅₀ = 300 μM).
