(±)-trans-ACPD is an equimolecular mixture of (1S,3R)- and (1R,3S)-ACPD. Selective agonist for metabotropic glutamate receptors; active at both group I and group II mGlu receptors (EC50 values are 2, 15, 23 and ~800 μM at mGluR2, mGluR1, mGluR5 and mGluR4 respectively).(1S,3R)-ACPD and cis-ACPD also available.
