Biological Activity for Capsazepine

Capsazepine is a selective vanilloid receptor antagonist (K_i = 3.2 μM). Inhibits carrageenan inflammation-induced hyperalgesic responses in the rat. Also activates amiloride-sensitive epithelial Na⁺ channel ENaCδ.
