Summary for Tankyrase 1 Colorimetric Activity Assay
The Tankyrase 1 Colorimetric Activity Assay is a high-throughput, semi-quantitative ELISA designed to measure Tankyrase 1 activity. Tankyrase 1, also known as PARP5a, is a Poly (ADP-ribose) Polymerase (PARP) that associates with telomeres via its interaction with the telomeric-repeat binding factor TRF1. This assay utilizes a histone-coated 96-well microplate and an anti-poly (ADP-ribose) (PAR) antibody to detect PAR that has been deposited onto the immobilized histone proteins by Tankyrase 1. The Tankyrase 1 Colorimetric Activity Assay uses TACS-Sapphire® as the colorimetric substrate. This is the only commercially available assay to feature a full length Tankyrase 1 enzyme and unmodified NAD substrate to create a more physiologically applicable in vitro assay system.
