Human DPPA5 (Developmental Pluripotency Associated 5), also called ESG1 (embryonal stem cell-specific 1) is expressed in embryonic germ cells and embryonic stem cells and is a potential marker for pluripotent stem cells. Human and mouse DPPA5 share 63% amino acid sequence identity.
