Webinar: Technology Evaluation: Quicker Way of Lentiviral Titer Determination

Webinar Summary

In this webinar, Andrew Greenwald explores different techniques for conducting lentiviral vector (LVV) physical titer analysis through p24 capsid protein measurement. After evaluating traditional techniques against automated and real time imaging technologies, Andrew implemented process improvements to lower costs and shorten assay duration whilst maintaining high sensitivity, quantitative analysis, and regulatory compliance, offering benefits for both Genezen, as a CDMO, and their clients. During this presentation, you'll uncover:

  • Comparative data showcasing LVV physical titer analysis using Ella™, a benchtop automated ELISA platform, and VideoDrop, a nanoparticle imaging analyzer, alongside traditional manual ELISAs
  • A comparison of infectious titer analysis using VideoDrop, flow cytometry and droplet digital PCR (ddPCR)
  • Insights into the suitability of each technique for smaller upstream sample runs and larger feasibility runs for downstream processes, including the associated costs and time savings

Andrew Greenwald
Scientist, Analytical Development Group, Genezen Laboratories

In 2009, following a biotechnology degree from Indiana University, Andrew started as a laboratory technician at Dow Agrosciences, focusing on protein quantification, which is where he began using automated instrumentation. Andrew then joined Labcorp Drug Development (formerly Covance) as a Study Coordinator and Scientific Specialist in 2017, before moving to Genezen Laboratories in May 2021.

This presentation was recorded as part of the Virtual Immune Cell Therapy Symposium on September 27, 2023.
