NUFIP2/82-FIP is a FMRP (fragile X mental retardation protein)-interacting protein and a component of FMRP-mRNP associated complexes. FMRP is a RNA binding protein that is thought to play role in posttranslational regulation and is the cause of fragile X syndrome.
