Product Overview

Bio-Techne Spatial’s fully automated, same-section multiomics workflow enables spatial RNA and protein detection at subcellular resolution. The best-in-class hyperplex multiomics application leverages RNAscope™ HiPlex technology from Advanced Cell Diagnostics and the universal multiplex sequential immunofluorescence (seqIF™) application on the COMET™ platform from Lunaphore.

Combining both assays on COMET, we provide end-users with multiplex data without compromising panel flexibility or sensitivity. The combined workflow allows users to select any 12 RNA targets and up to 24 protein targets using off-the-shelf, non-conjugated primary antibodies. The assay is designed to be compatible with current procedures on COMET using a unique protease-free pretreatment to promote streamlined, spatial multiomic data acquisition with subcellular resolution.

Protease-Free, Fully-Automated Multiomics Workflow

Multiomics Workflow COMET RNAscope Banner

A fully integrated system: Automated probe hybridization, signal amplification, labeling, imaging and cleaving follow the multiomic-optimized deparaffinization and antigen retrieval steps. Each round allows the detection of 4 RNA targets for up to 3 rounds which can be followed by seqIF protocols.

Featured Applications

Immune Checkpoint Icon

Immunology

  • Assess cytokine profiles in inflamed tissues and identify the cellular source of inflammatory molecules
  • Visualize gene signatures with cell-specific markers to assess activation states of immune cells
Cancer Icon

Immuno-oncology

  • Evaluate the tumor immune context for a better therapeutic outcome
  • Study tumor heterogeneity by visualizing unique morphology and expression profiles
Virus Icon

Immunity and Infectious Disease

  • Localization—visualizing infected cell types and tissues enables elucidation of viral transmission, pathogen-host interactions, and localization of hidden reservoirs
  • Differential detection—targeting the sense or anti-sense strand enables detection and differentiation of virus during latent or active stages
  • Coinfection detection—detect multiple viruses or co-infection
