Ufc1: Proteins and Enzymes

Ubiquitin-fold Modifier Conjugating Enzyme 1 (Ufc1) has been identified as an E2-like conjugating enzyme for Ubiquitin Fold Modifier 1 (Ufm1). Ufc1 is a 116 amino acid (aa) protein with a predicted molecular weight of 19 kDa. Human Ufc1 exhibits 97% and 98% aa identity to its mouse and rat orthologs, respectively.
